This snug fitting jacket is based on the “Garter Stitch Jacket” from a Jo Sharp collection of almost 2 decades past. In this new updated ‘Ballaro’ version of the jacket, the sleeves are dramatically slimmed down and re-shaped and the bodice is also reduced in width. The bodice of this jacket is worked in Garter Stitch (knit all rows - no purl rows) and the sleeve is worked in Reverse Stocking Stitch with a Garter Stitch cuff, as in the original version. Two buttoning options and two lengths are given. The pattern is suitable for a beginner knitter.
